Get
Involved
One
of the most rewarding experiences in life can be to make a difference
to someone else's life. If you would like to contribute to any of
the projects listed below please don't hesitate to get
in touch with us. Your help could empower the Xhosa people to
take their future into their own hands and to develop this unique
culture and coast line in an ethical and eco-friendly way.
Scholarships:
One of the simplest ways to ensure a better world for our children
is to contribute to the education of children. The public schools
in our area are not of a very high standard. Through the Mdumbi
Education Center we are able to spot outstanding students and like
to offer them scholarships to better schools in Mthatha or East
London and for futher education. Please consider suporting this
program with a small monthly donation.
Education
Project:
Here in the Transkei exists a great need for quality education which
can give the local people the chance to improve their prospects
in the employment market. Besides teaching English we have also
set up a small computer center. Offering training in all common
basic office and financial software. In the future we would like
to establish and teach more specialist software, such as, graphics,
music and animation.
Come
and teach to make a difference. Educational material is available
but we are open for suggestions such as writing new course syllabus
for block seminars and ongoing classes.
Investing
in holistic projects with a profitable future:
We are looking for investors and sponsors for the Education Center,
to establish a furniture and drum factory, a seafood restaurant
and tourism/cultural village.
Helping
to write proposals and raise funding:
For all our projects we continually write proposals as they evolve
and expand over time. If you are skilled in writing proposals and
fund raising, we would be very grateful for any help and advice
from here or wherever you are based in the world.
Please
contact Hyman for detailed information
about any of these projects or see our non profit organization,
