Mdumbi offers simple & spacious accommodation - set in traditional style Xhosa huts.
Level, lawn Camping sites with sufficient space - primed near the ablution block.
A generous, well equipped, communal kitchen will provide for your self catering needs.
Hot water showers, flushing toilets & the warm water ocean will keep you CLEAN.
For snax & meals come relax under the shack tin roof, the chill out hall & restaurant.
otherwise known as the "Mdumbi Cafe".

Pls NB! Mdumbi backpackers does not have a liquor licence we do NOT sell alcohol.
instead,..
W e promote cultural exchange, a 2min walk, just up the road to the local 'shebeen'

Prices per night: (as of 01.09.2008)
Dorms - R90* p/person (4 bed Dorm) or R80 (4+ beds Dorm)
Doubles - R200 p/night
Camping - R50 p/person

In addition to the above:
A pleasant space - also available for accommodation: however, not situated on the Mdumbi Backpackers premises, but located in the heart of the village, nearby & above Mdumbi is the 'The African Pot' - a 'community owned/Mdumbi managed'
the AFRICAN POT is a self catering guest house - sleeps 10 @ R800p/night.
'out of season' rates do apply - pls enquire before hand.

NB. Mdumbi does not accept credit cards - cash or internet transfers preferred. THX!
